Aimee Tieu, MDUrogynecologist
Aimee Tieu, MD, is double Board-certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is Fellowship-trained in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. Her special focuses are Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Urinary and Fecal Incontinence, Urodynamic Testing and Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Tieu attended Pennsylvania State University for her undergraduate studies and Medical School at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey. She completed her Residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She also completed her Fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida, a nationally recognized Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Center of Excellence. Following her Fellowship, she relocated to Brevard in 2012 with her husband, Dr. Kenneth Tieu, a Minimally Invasive/Weight Loss surgeon for Health First Medical Group.
Dr. Tieu offers the latest comprehensive care for urogynecologic conditions to her patients. She performs nonsurgical procedures for Urinary and Fecal incontinence including Office Urethral Bulking, Urinary Botox and Neurostimulation. She performs Mesh-Less Prolapse Repairs and has extensive experience with Robotic Gynecologic Surgery. She has been trained to perform Robotic Surgery since 2008 and was invited to perform single incision Robotic procedures for benign gynecologic conditions including hysterectomy and oophorectomy.
She is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, the International Urogynecologic Association, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been published in multiple peer review journals including the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, the International Urogynecology Journal, Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been invited to speak and present research both nationally and internationally.
While not practicing medicine she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband and newborn son.
