Brian Hackett received his BAS and his AS in Physician Assistant Studies and his AA from Miami Dade College. He earned his AS in Fire Science from St. Petersburg College and his EMT in Fire Standards from Indian River Community College. He studied Paramedics at Brevard Community College where he also attended as an Undergraduate. Brian completed eight week rotations as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine with Melbourne Internal Medicine Associates with Dr. Jeff McDougall and in Pediatrics with Dr. Wijetilleke in Vero Beach. He also completed clerkships as a Physician Assistant in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine.
Brian has extensive medical experience working as a Physician Assistant with DOCCS Urgent Care with Dr. Sangita Sahay, the Arthritis and Joint Center of Florida with Dr. Daniel King in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Aldino Cellini in Internal Medicine and Invasive Cardiology and with The BACK Center.

Additionally, Brian has experience working as a Paramedic/Firefighter with Indian River Shores Public Safety Department. He also served as a Continuing Education Instructor with Florida Medical Training Institute and a Paramedic Instructor with Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center ER, Paramedic Trauma. He also served with the Melbourne Fire Department as a Paramedic / Firefighter / Driver Engineer.

Physician Assistant certified by the State of Florida, Brian is also certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and ACLS for the healthcare provider. He is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
