Dr. Charles Stewart graduated from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1980 and completed his residency training at USAF Regional Hospital in Eglin, Florida. He is a Member of the American Academy of Family Practice and became a Board Certified Family Medicine physician in 1983. He recertified in 1990, 1997, 2004 and 2011. Dr. Stewart joined MIMA in July 1988 and currently is practicing at our Seaside location.
He has been married to his wife Karen (RN) for 34 years and raised two boys. His oldest son and his wife currently are serving in the Peace Corps in Guyana, South America and their youngest son is living in Charlotte, North Caroline and is a Construction Roofing consultant and lead guitar and backup vocals in “The Air Station” (formerly Hot Vegas) rock band in Charlotte, N.C.

In his spare time he enjoys traveling, golf and cooking.
