Christopher Mings, MHS, PA-C, AT is a licensed Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant who came to Health First from Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Mings earned his Master of Science, Physician Assistant from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, where he was on the university’s Dean’s List from 2016-18 and was a faculty student endowed scholarship recipient. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, where he was on the university Dean’s List from 2012-14 and was recognized as the Athletic Training Student of the Year. While at the University of Central Florida he was a member of Barnett Honors College, earning honors in his major and receiving publication for his research. His undergrad research focused on bringing awareness to testicular cancer, specifically within the college athletic community. He earned his Associate of Arts in General Studies at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, where he earned a Technical Certificate as a Business Specialist.

Mings is a licensed Physician Assistant in Florida. He is Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support for Experienced Provider certification and Basic Life Support certification. Mings is also a board-certified Athletic Trainer.
