Family MedicineColleen Briand, APRN earned her Associate in Arts degree from Eastern Florida State College. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and graduated from the Master of Science in Nursing program. Colleen also completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Colleen has worked as a Registered Nurse at Health First’s Palm Bay Hospital in the 3 South Medical/Surgical Unit. She has also served as an Exercise Technician and Certified Fitness Trainer at Health First’s Pro-Health and Fitness Center in Palm Bay, FL. Colleen also has extensive directed practicum experience, gaining clinical hours in Pediatric Endocrinology, Urogynecology, Psychiatric Care, Public Health, Community Health, Adult Care, and Family Practice.
In addition to being a member of the American Nurses Association, Colleen is certified by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the American Heart Association – NIH Stroke Scale, the HIV/AIDS course, and the FEMA Emergency Management Institute – National Incident Management System.
