Originally from upstate New York, Elizabeth (Betsy) moved to Florida with her family in 1990. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in 2004, and then worked as a Board Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Registered Nurse for Vitas Hospice in Orlando where she was awarded a Nursing Excellence Award with Nursing Spectrum Magazine. She decided to attend graduate school while working full time and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Florida State University in 2010. She is also an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

After becoming an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN), Betsy worked in palliative care. During her career, she and her husband moved to California for his job. There she worked at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) while also working as an APRN for Hospice. She then transitioned into a family practice role with Pulmonary Associates in Orange County, California. While there she worked with a variety of patient profiles and levels of acuity.

Betsy and her husband moved to Florida after spending two years in California. After their move, Betsy began working with Internal Medicine. She enjoys getting to know her patients, learning about their illnesses and comorbidities while finding care plans she hopes can improve their sense of wellness and quality of life. Betsy believes in a holistic approach to health and wellness with preventative care and patient involvement in their heath as a core value.

Betsy is also American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified, as well as a member of the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Nurse Practitioners and Space Coast Clinicians.
