Jorge Matias Silverio Ferreiro, MD is a Nocturnist with Health First who is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He previously worked as a Hospitalist for the Lee Memorial Health System, serving at Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Hospital and Health Park Medical Center, all in Florida. Prior to that, Dr. Silverio Ferreiro was a Hospitalist at South Dade Medical Group’s Homestead Baptist Hospital in Homestead, FL.
Dr. Silverio Ferreiro completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, NY. He completed post-graduate study on Cardiac Ultrasound at Hospital Hermanos Almejeiras in Havana, Cuba, as well as post-graduate study on Cardiovascular Disease (Internal Medicine) at Cardiocentro Villa Clara in Santa Clara, Cuba. Dr. Silverio Ferreiro completed a Fellowship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Hospital Provincial Clinico Quirurgico Docente Villa Clara in Santa Clara, Cuba. He graduated from Medical School at the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas de Villa Clara in Santa Clara, Cuba with gold diploma honors.

Dr. Silverio Ferreiro is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Cuban Society of Internal Medicine and the Cuban Society of Cardiology.

Dr. Silverio Ferreiro’s hobbies include reading about history and politics, cinematography and sports like baseball and soccer.
