Joseph LoPresti, MD, is part of our Health First neurohospitalist team. He is board certified physician.
Before joining Health First Medical Group, Dr. LoPresti served as a Neurohospitalist for Staff Care, Inc. in locum tenens assignments for St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network in Bethlehem, PA; Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Ft. Walton Beach, FL; Ocala Health System in Ocala, FL; and Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC.
He has extensive experience in neurological treatment and care, having served patients in numerous facilities in Nebraska, Miami and North Carolina. He served as a Neurohospitalist for Regional West Medical Center, and treated patients at West Nebraska Neuro-Diagnostics, both in Scottsbluff, NE. He provided care in Florida at Florida Neurology Network in South Miami, Miami Neurological Associates in Hialeah and at Hialeah Clinic (NDNC Neurological Treatment Centers) in Hialeah. Dr. LoPresti was affiliated with nine hospitals in the Miami area, three hospitals in North Carolina and one hospital in Nebraska.
Dr. LoPresti earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Physics as well as his Master of Arts degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from State University of New York in Stony Brook, NY. He earned his Medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and while there, he also completed his postdoctoral education.
He completed an internship in family medicine and a residency in neurology from the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He served as Chief Resident for the Department of Neurology at Jackson Memorial. He also completed a fellowship in electrophysiology and epilepsy at Jackson Memorial.
