Krista Wert, Certified Physician's AssistantTrauma Surgery
Krista Wert earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL and her Master of Public Health with concentration in Social and Behavioral Health from the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions.
Krista completed her clinical rotations in General Surgery, Intensive Care Medicine, General Trauma and Orthopedic Trauma at Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center. She completed her clinical rotation in Emergency Medicine at UF Health in Gainesville, FL.
Her work experience includes serving as a Patient Care Assistant at UF Health at the University of Florida in Gainesville, an intern and Teaching Assistant with Orlando Regional Medical Center Hospital and Adult Outpatient Orthopedic Unit and as a Corporate Services Specialist with QMedRx, Inc. in Maitland, FL.
Krista has an interest in Public Health and has served as a student researcher for the University of Florida in the areas of student experiences with victimization, hookah prevention among college-aged students, assessing barriers to cancer screening in persons with disabilities and barriers to care among the elderly Latino population. She was also a student representative for AHEC Tobacco Training and Cessation-Initial Training for the University of Florida.
Krista served as a member of the Public Health Student Association and the Pre-Physician Assistant Association.
