Kristen Donesec, Certified Physician's AssistantTrauma Surgery
Kristen Donesec is a Board-certified Physician Assistant for the Health First Medical Group. Kristen earned both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science Physician Assistant degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA. She completed numerous clinical rotations in Pennsylvania, Florida, and New York, including Obstetrics/Gynecology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Orthopedics.
Following her PA certification, Kristen became a member of the U.S. Army, where she began with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment in the Regimental Support Squadron at Fort Hood, TX, Fort Irwin, CA., and Mosul, Iraq. She was directly responsible for the support of five aid stations and assisted in the manning of one installation health clinic. She provided care for 4,000 soldiers during the Regiment’s National Training Center rotation at the only Level II medical facility. She was selected by the Regimental Commander to work at the Combat Support Hospital as part of the Remington Troop in Mosul, Iraq, as the Regiment’s only Emergency PA.
Kristen moved to the Sabre Squadron of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment in Fort Hood and Kirkush, Iraq, where she administered physicals to over 300 men and women in the III Corps Combatives Tournament. She was responsible for assisting with the direction and synchronization of all health services for over 11,000 solders. She served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from Nov. 2007 to Jan. 2009.
Most recently Kristen was in the 201st Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division in Fort Knox, KY as part of Charlie Company. She was the Officer in Charge of a Level II medical facility, which she had organized and implemented the Standard Orders of Operations used daily.
