Dr. King affirms the sanctity of life and attempts to live each day with the goal of treating others as better than herself – by serving others with gratitude and respect. As the mother of five and grandmother of four, Dr. King has a deep appreciation of family life. As a spouse, she appreciates a cooperative spirit to combine strengths in battling difficulties and overcoming obstacles.

Dr. King grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She received two Baccalaureate Degrees from West Texas University in Biology and later in Nursing and then completed a Master’s Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Biochemistry (studying stem cells for a vaccine to prevent breast cancer). Dr. King attended Texas Tech University and later accepted a U.S. Army scholarship where she obtained her Internal Medicine training at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. She completed her U.S. Military duties at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. After an honorable discharge, she has worked as a Hospitalist and outpatient clinician in Tennessee and North Carolina. She now resides in Florida.

She grew up with the desire of becoming a doctor. When her mother died unexpectedly, she realized how fleeting time is and the importance of making a difference and using her skills to the highest ability. She wanted to bring healing where she could and compassion to all.

Dr. King chose Internal Medicine to deal with complex medical issues. Generally many specialties erupt from this extensive base. Her diversity in this field includes: diabetes, heart disease, thyroid disease, cancer screening, and other health issues.

Dr. King is a team player who understands “the unique gifts we are given work together to make the impossible, possible.” An idealist who works hard and “loves God, country, and humankind,” outside of her medical career, she enjoys exercise, movies, Christian music, roller coasters, and the beach.
