She earned her RN First Assist from Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. Dunn earned her Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing, Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, from University of Maryland Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dunn is a licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Florida, Maryland, Missouri and Nevada. She is Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified and has active DEAs. Dunn has more than 18 years of clinical experience in diverse patient care settings.
