Miguel Medina, MD is part of our Health First hospitalist team and our Health First Medical Group internal medicine physician team. He is a board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Medina earned his Medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Unena in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. While there, he served as Assistant Professor for the School of Medicine. He then completed an intensive course of scientific writing by the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization in Santo Domingo.

He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. During that time, he served as a member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee. He completed post-graduate studies in internal medicine, also at St. Barnabas Hospital. From 1997 to 2003, Dr. Medina served as a public school science teacher in New York.

Before joining Health First Medical Group, Dr. Medina was an active member of the Parrish Medical Center medical staff, where he served as a Physician Advisory Leader. Before this position, Dr. Medina served as a physician with Healthnet of Central Florida, Inc. in Titusville. He also served as the Medical Director of Vista Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Medina currently serves as both a hospitalist at Health First’s Cape Canaveral Hospital and as an internal medicine physician at Health First Medical Group’s Titusville office, 4420 S. Hopkins Ave. Titusville, 32780.

Dr. Medina has published several articles, including Diagnostic of Radiological Protection in Medical Centers of National District, sponsored by WHO, and Biological Assay of Parts of Gnaphalim Viscosum, sponsored by the Third World Academy of Science of Italy.

Dr. Medina is fluent in Spanish.
