Nicholo John Sartor, MD is part of our Health First hospitalist team. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, MI, with a dual major in biomedical sciences and microbiology and a minor in Italian language and arts. He earned a Medical Degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed an internship and residency from the University of Michigan Medical Center in internal medicine and pediatrics. Dr. Sartor is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics or Med-Peds. Med-Peds is a medical specialty that combines internal medicine and pediatrics.
Before joining Health First Medical Group, Dr. Sartor served as a locum tenens Internal Medicine (IM) Hospitalist at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylvia, NC. Prior to that position, he was a Hospitalist with Carteret General Hospital/ TeamHealth, providing ICU care, performing procedures and ED admissions. He was also a Med-Peds Hospitalist and Assistant Professor of Med-Peds at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.

Dr. Sartor was partner/owner of Carrboro Pediatrics & Internal Medicine, a five-physician group in Carrboro, NC. After completing his post-graduate training, Dr. Sartor was a partner at Saline Med-Peds, a two-physician Med-Peds practice in Saline, MI.

Dr. Sartor is married to his wife, Carolyn and they have one son. He speaks English, Italian and some Spanish.
