Dr. Preetha Ali, MD, FACS, FASCRS is a board-certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon who came to Health First from Overlake Medical Clinics – Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington, where she was a Colon and Rectal Surgeon. She served her Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Ali completed her General Surgery Residency at Stamford Hospital (affiliate of Columbia University) in Stamford, Connecticut. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Ali earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ali is licensed to practice medicine in Florida.

The foundation of her treatment approach is compassion. Colon and rectal health issues can be uneasy to discuss and, thus, she is committed to making her patients feel comfortable from the moment they enter her office. She works as a team with her patients to address all diagnostic and therapeutic options to best serve their needs and concerns. From start to finish, she strives to empower patients through education to provide them the necessary tools to fully participate in their care and make informed decisions.
She enjoys reading books, traveling, sewing, and arts & crafts. If she were not a colon & rectal surgeon, she would probably be an interior designer. She loves to make lists and finds it incredibly satisfying to check off those boxes. Spending time with her husband, three kids, and dog fuels her daily.
