Samuel Pellegrino, MD
Trauma SurgerySamuel Pellegrino, MD, is Board-certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is an attending physician for the Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center’s Department of Surgery.
Dr. Pellegrino earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He completed his pre-medical requirements from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and earned his Medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. He completed both a Residency in General Surgery and a Fellowship in Critical Care at Orlando Regional Medical Center’s Department of General Surgery.
Dr. Pellegrino is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He also serves as an ATLS instructor.
Prior to joining Health First, Dr. Pellegrino was a Bone and Tissue Procurement Specialist for the Central Florida Tissue Bank in Orlando. Since 2002 he serves as an Organ Procurement Specialist for TransLife in Orlando.
