Umair Tariq, MD, is a board-certified Critical Care/Intensivist who came to Health First from Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. He served his Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Tariq served his Neurocritical Care Fellowship at the University of Miami — Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He served his Internal Medicine Residency at WellSpan York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. Dr. Tariq earned his Doctor of Medicine from Medical University of the Americas in Charlestown, Nevis, West Indies. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Tariq is licensed to practice medicine in Florida. He conducted research and first authored several articles and poster presentations for the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society. His areas of practice include internal medicine, critical care medicine and neurocritical care medicine. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi.
