William Sunter, MDNeurology
Dr. William R. Sunter is a clinical neurologist and research investigator with a special interest in neurotoxin therapy.
Dr. Sunter received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. After completing an Internal Medicine Internship at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Sunter went on to complete a Residency in Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Houston where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Sunter is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Pain Management and American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a member of numerous professional associations and has received recognition for quality and compassionate care.
Dr. Sunter has been practicing neurology in Melbourne since 1989 and has experience in treating a variety of challenging neurological disorders in adults. As a research investigator, he has been active as principal investigator and sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials.
Dr. Sunter has special expertise in neurotoxin treatment for a range of neurological conditions including spasticity, cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, migraines and other pain syndromes. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Health First Medical Group Neurotoxin Therapeutics and Research Center.
Dr. Sunter lives in Melbourne with his wife, Susan and is the proud father of two sons, Brian and Ben. When he is not working, Dr. Sunter enjoys playing competitive tennis as a member of the United States Tennis Association and is an avid cyclist.
